Quinta do Lago is celebrating Mental Health Awareness Week from 15th-21st May 2023 with a newly launched programme of wellness-centric events.

As mental health concerns continue to rise worldwide, Quinta do Lago is continuing its drive to encourage wellness in the resort community. Inspired by this year’s theme for Mental Health Awareness Week, anxiety, the resort is maximising the use of its numerous wellness offerings which including its multi-sports hub, The Campus, but also its beautiful natural surroundings (such as the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve) which encourage guests to take a break from their busy schedules, unwind and reassess.

 

Yoga Session at Quinta Do Lago Beach

Yoga and breathwork is a proven way to reduce anxiety levels and Quinta do Lago is kicking off their programme with a revitalising yoga session on the beach, offering pristine views and a calming ocean breeze for the ultimate zen experience. 

 

Morning Breakfast and Talk with James Golding

The renowned endurance cyclist and world record holder, James Golding, is hosting a breakfast workshop on 16th May, sharing his inspiring life story and passion for cycling at Dano’s – adjacent to The Campus. 

 

Hydrogym Class

The hydrogym class will take place in The Campus swimming pool, incorporating various strength training exercises without the high impact stress on muscle and joints. 

 

Mindfulness Meditation

Mindfulness meditation is continuing to be seen as a really essential way to manage one’s mental health as it encourages participants to take time for themselves, engage in self care and reassess their priorities or address concerns. 

 

Charity Dog Walk in The Nature Trails

This event provides an excellent opportunity to connect with nature and furry companions while supporting a worthy cause – this year the resort has partnered with local dog charity in Loulé, Canil de Canil de S. Francisco de Assis. 

 

Healing Sound Bath Workshop

This workshop offers an immersive experience that uses sound to help participants achieve a deep meditative state.

 

Rhythm Cycle and Core

This two-hour spinning marathon provides a unique experience where participants are able to challenge their mind, body, and soul.
